Change Bulb Recessed Ceiling Light

Recessed ceiling lights are a popular choice for general lighting in homes and businesses. They provide a clean, modern look and can be used to create a variety of lighting effects. However, when it comes time to change the bulb in a recessed ceiling light, it can be a bit of a challenge. Here are a few tips on how to do it safely and easily:

1. Safety First

Before you start, make sure that the power to the light is turned off. You can do this by flipping the breaker or removing the fuse that powers the light. Once the power is off, you can safely proceed to change the bulb.

2. Remove the Trim

The trim is the decorative part of the light that surrounds the bulb. It is usually held in place by a few screws. Remove the screws and carefully pull the trim away from the ceiling.

3. Remove the Bulb

Once the trim is removed, you will be able to see the bulb. Gently twist the bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the socket.

4. Insert the New Bulb

Take the new bulb and insert it into the socket. Gently twist the bulb clockwise to tighten it.

5. Replace the Trim

Once the new bulb is in place, you can replace the trim. Line up the trim with the ceiling and insert the screws. Tighten the screws until the trim is secure.

6. Turn on the Power

Once the trim is in place, you can turn the power back on. Flip the breaker or insert the fuse that powers the light. The new bulb should now be working.

Tips
