- Wire cutters
- Electrical tape

Before you begin, it is important to take some safety precautions. First, make sure that the power to the light is turned off. You can do this by flipping the breaker that controls the light or by removing the fuse. Second, wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from any flying debris.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Remove the diffuser. The diffuser is the plastic or glass cover that protects the LED bulbs. It is usually held in place by a few screws. Remove the screws and carefully lift the diffuser off the light.
- Disconnect the wires. There will be two or three wires connected to the light fixture. Use the wire cutters to cut the wires, leaving about 6 inches of wire exposed. Strip the insulation off the ends of the wires.
- Remove the mounting bracket. The mounting bracket is the metal bracket that holds the light fixture to the ceiling. It is usually held in place by a few screws. Remove the screws and carefully lift the mounting bracket off the ceiling.
- Remove the light fixture. Once the mounting bracket is removed, you can remove the light fixture from the ceiling. Simply lift it straight up.

- If you are having trouble removing the diffuser, you can try using a putty knife or a flat-head screwdriver to pry it off.
- Be careful not to cut the wires too short. You will need about 6 inches of wire exposed to make the connections.
