Tools and Materials You'll Need

- Phillips head screwdriver
- Step ladder or stool
Safety First
Before you start, make sure to turn off the power to your ceiling fan at the circuit breaker or fuse box. Also, wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from any flying glass shards.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Remove the Light Kit
On most Harbor Breeze ceiling fans, the light kit is held in place by two screws. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws, then carefully lower the light kit from the ceiling. Be careful not to touch the light bulbs, as they may be hot.
2. Remove the Glass Bowl
The glass bowl is held in place by three or four screws. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws, then carefully lift the glass bowl off the light kit. Be careful not to drop the glass bowl.
3. Install the New Glass Bowl
Place the new glass bowl on the light kit and align the holes. Insert the screws and tighten them until the glass bowl is secure. Do not overtighten the screws.
4. Reinstall the Light Kit
Carefully lift the light kit back into place and secure it with the two screws you removed earlier. Tighten the screws until the light kit is secure.
5. Turn on the Power
Turn on the power to your ceiling fan at the circuit breaker or fuse box. Your ceiling fan should now be working properly with its new glass bowl.
