How To Fit A Ceiling Rose Pendant

A ceiling rose pendant is a decorative element that can add a touch of style and sophistication to any room. It is a relatively simple task to fit a ceiling rose pendant, and with the right tools and materials, you can do it yourself in a few hours.

Materials You Will Need:

Ceiling rose pendant
Ceiling rose
Fixing screws
Drill
Screwdriver
Electrical tape
Wire strippers
Electrical wire

Instructions:

Turn off the electricity supply to the room where you will be fitting the ceiling rose pendant.
Remove the existing light fitting from the ceiling, if there is one.
Fit the ceiling rose to the ceiling. Mark the positions of the fixing holes on the ceiling. Drill pilot holes at the marked positions.
Fix the ceiling rose to the ceiling using the fixing screws. Connect the electrical wires to the ceiling rose, ensuring that the live wire is connected to the terminal marked "L", the neutral wire is connected to the terminal marked "N", and the earth wire is connected to the terminal marked "E".
Connect the electrical wire from the ceiling rose to the electrical wire from the pendant. Use the wire strippers to remove about 1cm of insulation from the ends of the wires. Twist the exposed wires together and wrap them with electrical tape.
Fit the pendant to the ceiling rose. Screw the cap onto the ceiling rose to secure the pendant.
Turn on the electricity supply to the room and test the pendant.

If you are not confident working with electricity, it is best to hire a qualified electrician to fit the ceiling rose pendant for you.
Make sure that the ceiling rose is securely fixed to the ceiling before connecting the electrical wires.
Use a spirit level to ensure that the ceiling rose is level before fixing it to the ceiling.
Use a cable tidy to hide the electrical wires.
