How to Install a Dimmer Switch on a Ceiling Fan Light

Safety First

Before you begin, turn off the power to the fan at the circuit breaker or fuse box. This is crucial for your safety as it will prevent any risk of electrical shock.

Check Fan Compatibility

Not all ceiling fans are compatible with dimmer switches. Consult your fan's user manual or the manufacturer's website to confirm if your fan can be used with a dimmer.

Gather Necessary Materials

Dimmer switch compatible with your fan
Screwdriver
Electrical tape
Wire stripper/cutter (optional)

Remove Old Switch
