How to Install a Ceiling Light With a Switch

Installing a ceiling light is a relatively simple task that can be completed in a few hours. However, it is important to follow the instructions carefully to ensure that the light is installed safely and correctly.

The first step is to gather the necessary tools and materials. You will need a screwdriver, electrical tape, wire strippers, a ceiling light fixture, and a switch.

Once you have gathered your tools and materials, you need to turn off the power to the room where you will be installing the light. You can do this by flipping the circuit breaker that controls the room's power.

Next, you need to remove the old light fixture. To do this, simply unscrew the screws that hold the fixture in place and then carefully pull the fixture down.

Once the old light fixture is removed, you need to connect the wires from the new fixture to the wires in the ceiling.
