How to Replace a Ceiling Light Bulb Socket

Replacing a ceiling light bulb socket is a relatively simple task that can be completed in a few minutes. However, it is important to take safety precautions before beginning any electrical work.

Materials you will need:

New light bulb socket
Socket wrench or pliers
Electrical tape

Safety precautions:

Turn off the power to the light fixture at the circuit breaker or fuse box.

Use a non-conductive ladder or step stool to reach the light fixture.

Instructions:

Remove the old light bulb by unscrewing it from the socket.
