Hunter Ceiling Fan Remote Control Installation Guide

Hunter ceiling fans come with a variety of features, including remote control operation. Installing a remote control for your Hunter ceiling fan is a relatively simple process that can be completed in a few minutes. It involves three (3) essential aspects: wiring, mounting, and pairing.

Wiring

1. Turn off the power to the ceiling fan at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
2. Remove the existing switch plate and disconnect the wires from the switch.
3. Connect the wires from the remote control receiver to the wires from the ceiling fan. The black wire from the receiver should connect to the black wire from the fan, the white wire from the receiver should connect to the white wire from the fan, and the green or bare copper wire from the receiver should connect to the green or bare copper wire from the fan.
4. Secure the wire connections with a wire nut.
5. Push the wires back into the electrical box and install the switch plate.

Mounting

1. Choose a location for the remote control receiver. The receiver should be mounted within range of the remote control and out of direct sunlight.
2. Mark the location of the receiver on the ceiling or wall.
3. Drill two (2) pilot holes for the screws.
4. Mount the receiver to the ceiling or wall with the screws.<

Pairing

1. Turn on the power to the ceiling fan at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
2. Press and hold the "Pair" button on the remote control receiver for five (5) seconds.
3. Press the "On" button on the remote control.
4. The ceiling fan should turn on. If it does not, repeat steps 2 and 3.

Once the remote control is paired with the receiver, you can use it to control the ceiling fan's speed, light, and other features. Consult your ceiling fan's manual for more specific pairing instructions.
