Ceiling fan with mounting bracket
Electrical wire (14 gauge or larger)
Wire connectors
Electrical tape

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Safety First:

Before beginning, turn off the power at the circuit breaker. Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from flying debris.

2. Remove the Recessed Light:

Locate the recessed light fixture and carefully remove the trim ring. Use a screwdriver to loosen the mounting screws and disconnect the electrical wires.

3. Install the Mounting Bracket:

Position the ceiling fan's mounting bracket over the electrical box where the recessed light was located. Drill pilot holes for the screws, insert them, and tighten securely.

4. Prepare the Electrical Wires:

Strip about 1/2 inch of insulation from the ends of the electrical wires. If the ceiling fan has multiple wires, match the colors accordingly (e.g., white to white, black to black).

5. Connect the Electrical Wires:

Using wire connectors, join the wires from the ceiling fan to the wires from the electrical box. Connect the white wires, then the black wires, and twist on the wire connectors to secure them.
